After much speculation concerning their relationship, their engagement was announced on January 14, 2007. Later, Amitabh Bachchan confirmed the announcement.
The couple got married on April 20, 2007, according to traditional Hindu rites of the South Indian Bunt community, to which she belongs. Some North Indian and Bengali ceremonies were also performed.
The wedding that was private affair for the Bachchan and Rai families and friends, the involvement of the media turned it into a national extravaganza. The wedding took place at Bachchan residence, Prateeksha in Juhu, Mumbai.
Aishwarya is now busy playing the role of mommy while father Abhishek is working on two big films - Dhoom 3 and Bol Bachchan.
2.GENELIA AND RITESH DESHUKH
Genelia wore a red lehenga-choli ensemble and net dupatta heavily decorated with golden embroidery and sequins, exuding classic elegance. The red and gold stunning lehenga was designed by Shane and Falguni Peacock. The fitted choli and flairs of the lehenga suited her slim figure.
